today in class we have had our first D.C (Digital Citizenship), as you can see the image above has the word think as an acronym going T is it True? this means that if you are ever sending something on Instagram, Facebook, i message or any social network you have to think is it true what you are sending/posting, next for the H is it helpful? so that means if you are sending/posting something you think is it helpful what I’m sending/posting? then for the I is it inspiring? that means is you are sending/posting something if it’s not inspiring don’t send/post it, N is it necessary? then again if you are not sending something that’s not necessary don’t send it, K is it kind, if it’s not kind really don’t send/ post it. so remember is you are sending something that you think is not, true, helpful, inspiring, necessary or kind, don’t send it!!!
So far with my music making I have made a couple of songs but still have lot’s of tuning and fine tuning to do. I have learn’t that it takes quite a while to make songs and you can’t publish your songs to iTunes straight away, you have to think about copy-write, and whether when this begins and when it ends is right, and you also have to make the assumption that no-one is going to like your music and that you will not be famous or well known. I am beginning to think of lyrical matter for some of my songs it is and can be really quite hard. Some successes I have had are that my songs are coming along well enough but there is a lot of work to be done, and some of the challenges I have had are that I am having a little bit of trouble with the timing of when things come in and go out. the next step for me is to keep on adjusting one song at a time until they are complete so I can move on to a different song.
For my passion project I intend to create an album of songs on garage band to put on the iTunes charts and see how how far up they get, but since a whole album would maybe take me six month’s I will create one song for my passion project, but continue making the album, i’m kinda making the songs for everyone in the world but I’m really pumped to see how far up the charts the songs get.
Some of the main messages in Birkes TED talk are that, how well big food brands are catching the eyes of small kids with colourful packaging, and it’s unhealthy food as well, also he said that we can change the food system ‘one kid at a time’, when he says that he means that change is possible but it can’t happen straight away, it has to take time.
The ways he got his messages across to his audience, were that he used lot’s of jokes, and humour to keep his audience light hearted and engaged, he also had thorough eye contact throughout the whole thing and he kept his audience interested by explaining to them whats wrong with the food system and what scientists are doing to make it wrong.
The technical support he used was a screen to make jokes and show statistics he also used a microphone to help the audience hear him.
Some of the presentation techniques he used well were humour, eye contact and hand gestures.

Some of the main messages that Thomas was trying to get across were that if you want you can try new things and that it doesn’t matter how old you are, you can still try it. And that it’s sometimes hard to do new thing but once you can get the hang of it, it can be really fun.
Thomas got his messages over to the audience really well, he used humour a number of times and kept his audience entertained and engaged, While making thorough eye contact throughout the whole thing.
