Ted is when a person goes up on stage or make’s a video, and present what their passion is and talks about it.

What are the main messages / ‚Äėtake-aways‚Äô in Thomas‚Äô TED Talk?

I think the main message is that there should be more places around schools to make apps.

And he has a strong passion for making apps and showing how to show the world. And whatever age you are, you can start making you’re dream a reality.

How did he get these messages across to his audience?

He was adding humar to his talk, he was speaking fluently with not many mistakes, he had good eye line with the audience and not just starring and the device he had.

What technical support did he use

He used the screen behind him to show the audience about the apps he made.

What presentation techniques did he use well?

Class 6B: How to present your piece to the camera!

before you present you’re piece¬†to the camera¬† you need to consider the following steps.

writing steps

#1~plan what you’re going to do and what you’re going to say before press record on the camera

#2~once you figure out what you’re meant to say. rehearse¬† and warm up¬†but don’t press record¬†unless yo feel like you’re ready. but you may want to¬†consider the next step

#3~get a sheet of paper or write down in a book what you’re about to say to the camera. write every word that you say and when you film¬†it will be very helpful to what you say

#4~when your about to make the film make¬†sure that you’re eyes are starring directly¬†at the camera and not looking at any other distraction

#5~this step is optional, during making of the film you can jot down notes and things you may want to say during the making of the film

Class 6C: Camera

~ a tripod is a object  the you put a camera on and it is meant to hold the camera up when it is filming something you or something else.

~camera is a object when you film you’re self doing something. (and also know as what a youtuber uses when their filming the life)

~ when filming you sometimes notice angels like over the shoulder angle or a medium shot and plenty others that there have

it is safer if the camera is close to your stomach than out arms length or so from you’re stomach.

the audio booth is the mini room in the year 6 area. it is a sound proof room where you make videos, voice overs and other things.

I’m doing how to make fluffy slime, these are the steps the camera angle and what you need and do

Shotgun Mic

the shotgun mic can hear anything up to 40 feet away and if the video is in a loud location the shotgun mic can pick up you’re voice much more then a normal average camera can.

the green screen is a room were you can change the back round, like you can make it look like you’re some where else, and if use the green screen correctly it can look real in the film you make

sewing

in sewing we made bags out of fabric

 

that is what the bag looks like  it took me 4 sessions to finish all of it doing. this was very fun

the first step was to cut out a perfect rectangle in fabric then we had to sew the sides in a zigzag way

Spinner

 

The teacher sent us a email of a app where we can make spinners on it because we have been learning spinners in math class. we made a spinner and I did peach is half of the spinner and white, red, blue, purple then I spinned the spinner 40 time by typing how many times I wanted to spin it, the peach has a 50% chance on being spined on

Makey Makey

I learnt what a Makey Makey was during a design lesson,a Makey Makey is a programing box with cords and wires alligator cords.

On the first lesson of Makey Makey we were put into groups my group was Tiana and Claire

 the fruit we got was a banana, orange, apple, kiwi and a pear and we made up names for them. their names are bossy banana, little miss apple pie, orange juice, cutie kiwi and precious pear and we made a video of me Claire and Tiana taping the fruit then the fruit would say something funny or something crazy, we programed the fruit to speak on scratch we programed the fruit to speak coming out of the computer

you put the alligator cords inside of the fruit and program the fruit on scratch then the sound would come of the computer you have make a voice recored

Sewing

On the first session of sewing we had to sew a straight line into the fabric, I did 3 straight lines into the fabric. this is what it looks like.

after that we were meant to get 5 square piece’s of fabric and sew them in a normal straight line

bags.

the bag took me 5 sessions to finish it, doing this was fun. the first step was making a choice of what type of bag you want. I picked a bag that has light blue flowers and everything else is a white back round.

Speros

Speros

What is a Speros?

Speros is a small ball that you connect to your apple device. and using a app you can control every move that the Speros makes, on the app you can make the  Speros talk, move and make animal noises. you can program your Speros to do almost anything

what did do in Speros?

in the session of doing Speros we had a couple of minutes to just play with it and find out something about it. since I left my apple device at home we had to use  my partner Claire we each had turn to draw something and the other person had to say what was the other person drawing.

After that

After playing around with it the teachers gave us instructions to go onto the program area and that was when we found out how to make the Speros talk, make animal noises and move.

shape challenge

in this challenge the teacher put thick blue tape on the floor and you had to program the speros to go on that shape and make it.   

 

Black line challenge

We had to program our robots to do a Black Line Challenge.

For starting the black line challenge we had to use the colour sensor to find the black line if the sensor see’s white it will turn left and if it does see black it will turn right. For starting¬†what we had to was¬†we got a line of black paper this the black line we used. ¬†

.

It only took me a week to figure out all the correct programs and to make my robot to do the black paper line.Then on Monday 28th of august after finishing that I discovered that I could use the same program as the black line challenge.

what is next

Now after doing  the black line oval challenge I am now going to start doing my scribble line challenge in the next Lego robotics session.

 

Scratch

on the first week back, in design we were told to watch videos of how to work the app scratch.

scratch is a app we have on our laptops.                                                                    you can make games and things on scratch we told to watch a tutorial video on our first task. we were told to make a car and a race track.

since 10 steps was really small steps  I needed to put down 10 steps 22 time then I needed to put down turn right 15 degrees 5 times.

Tutorials

there were 7 tutorials we were instructed to watch so it can help us with our sprit a sprit is a character made by you.                                                                                    we were meant to  programed the sprit.

Sprite                                                                                                                                       the first tutorial was how to make a sprit, we were aloud to make our sprit as anything, some people made animals and other things but I tried to make a emoji that moves.

we were all meant to go on costumes  and make 4 of the same emojis that have something new on each one.

 

After that The teacher taught us how to make an account online so we can play and program games.

our first task was to make a sprite dance it took me 2 days for me to finish everything but my sister helped me with some parts

After that we had  another task. Our task was to make our sprite do something but we had to use only 10 special blocks

people made apps that dosen’t work and we have to go inside the program¬†and make the app actually work after we finish 1.1 then we have to do 1.2 and keeping going on until we ran out of time. 1.1 was the easiest to me.

About me

about me was when we had to program 2 or more sprites to communicate with you. the sprites has to tell you something that the you may not know then maybe ask you a relatable question.
