#Reflection-Passion project 2

For my 2nd passion project in term 3 I decided that I was going to make a rainbow cake.

Did you achieve what you originally set out to do?

No, I was originally going to make 3 layers of cake, but the first cake layer didn’t work!

What successes or challenges did you experience toward the end of your project?

before I put my cake in cake tray I forgot to add spray oil or melting butter before I added the first cake layer and my sister put the oven on a different setting to what the rainbow cake was meant to be in! and I after I made the last to layers I let it cool down for 15 minutes and after 15 mins I added the cream then it started melting because the cake was to hot!

How did you overcome the challenges?

I put the first layer in the bin then I just went with the last 2 layers but after all of that the cream looked messy !

Canada RVE

  • The country, I picked¬†Canada!

Most famous sports are lacrosse, hockey,

Lacrosse is a team game, originally played by North American Indians, in which the ball is thrown, carried, and caught with a long-handled stick having a curved L-shaped or triangular frame at one end with a piece of shallow netting in the angle.

Hockey is a team game played between two teams of eleven players each, using hooked sticks with which the players try to drive a small hard ball towards goals at opposite ends of a field. In North America it is called field hockey to distinguish it from ice hockey.

Both countries are Commonwealth countries. Both countries have a Governor General, both are representatives of the Queen (British Monarch), The two countries have very similar style of executive branches, where there is a Prime Minister, who has a cabinet of Ministers who have portfolios and lead various departments. The Prime Minister is usually the leader of the largest party, which forms the government. All bills before becoming enacted into Law must receive Royal Assent. There are a bunch of other little things which are similar as well, as with many Commonwealth nations.

lost princess

she shared¬† information about herself to a person that she didn’t know, to a person she met on a game or social media page.

someone could of had kept on texting you trying to get more information which could of been her end up hurt

she could of had told her parents or guardian before she went to that concert, she could of stopped playing or texting with that person when white-night started saying stuff that made you uncomfortable

the biggest massage I took away from that story was don’t give any personal details & don’t talk to strangers online or in person.

What do you intend to create? I intend to create a cake with 5 or more colourful layers inside of the cake but in-between each layer of  colourful cake I would add a thin layer of icing

What technologies will you use? I could use electric whisks to mix the batter. or I could se a scale, I could way small ingredients that would need a scale.

DC Cartoons

what did we do in RVE? we spent time on the floor talking about DC blogs. at first you might see this picture and think it could be funny.

but after awhile this isn’t super funny it is actually kind of sad because billions of people on this earth spend more time on devices then they do outside… and many of couples are like this photo

what is the message (messages)

I think the message is that people all around the world spend a lot of time on there IPhone, laptops and IPad and people should spend more time outside.

Did you achieve what you originally set out to do?

I have done loads of images of plants, myself, my family and more and adding them to my website was very easy and I have published it and shown the world my photography skills

What successes or challenges did you experience toward the end of your project?

it was a challenging to find different angles of the photos I took. I tried to make most of my images/photos as different as possible, I wouldn’t want someone pointing out or telling me that my photos look repeated.¬†

How can you extend your learning if you were to continue with this project?

Win At The Fair

over the last few week we have been playing a game called WIN AT THE FAIR.

what is this game?

it is¬†a game that would be at a FAIR…¬†can help people gain money.

it is a game when you roll a dice  and you pick were you want the arrows to face and if they roll a 6 your counter would have to go straight  because I made the arrows go straight and 2 and 12 are the only numbers that you can right or left in my game. I put the big numbers on the side so it is harder to win. you only have a 2% chance on getting right or left and you have a small chance of getting 12,345.

this is my game board…. you have a 9% chance of getting 0.10

my game plan.

I put a very small number all the way at the top so you have a bigger chance of getting  0.10 or 0.01

I made my arrow all face straight ahead but only 2 and 12 can move left and right and if you want people to come to your game you would need to have a big number and make the people want to feel like the have a chance of winning 12,345 dollars

before we went on the app we made or own using portals and different things

this is the tally, total, prize
