Today i will be making a blog post about the makey makey piano that I learnt about on Monday it was very fun. I enjoyed the project because it is very fun learning how the makey makey works. it is very cool how you can just plug in the makey makey board and you can use it as a keyboard. The piano project was kind of like the bongos project but it was a bit harder because it was using more keys for it. I really enjoyed it and i cant wait for our next project.
What is electricity? Electricity the flow of electric charge or energy. It flows through wires and is the energy which powers machines and electronic devices.Name some things we use that are electric? We use lots of electric things in our every day lives such as lights, computers, phones and washing machines.Write a reflection for the bongos? I think mine went well, it is so cool that a lemon can be your space bar
it was hard first getting to know how it works but in the end i got it to work and it was a lot of fun
Two weeks ago Mr Mckie told us our last scratch project for term 1 it was our inspiration I made a cricket quiz because my favourite sport is cricket. I had lots of fun making this project.I learnt how hard it is to code even and it looks easier than it is. Next time i might put in music to he quiz to make it better The challenges was coding it it was pretty hard.It was worth doing because it was fun and i wanted to get it finished.
My favourite word study word is untouchable which is another word for not touchable. I like the word because it is shortened into one word instead of two.
This term we are reading a book called refugee. It is our first class book for this year, I am enjoying it so far. It is about the main character named Ali who fled from Afghanistan because of the taliban and he escaped with a person called Rahim. Ali got to a detention centre called Woommera in South Australia where he met someone called Mohhamed and his brother called Safir, he plays cards with them. One day Ali got called on the Woommera loud speaker and the guards told him he was going to Adelaide Ali was very excited. Ali got to go to Adelaide with Mohhamed and two other people called Sam and Ahmed he was so excited. When he got to Adelaide he got to go to an english school so he could get better at learning English and he met someone called Anna. After two weeks he had finaly got to go to a school in Adelaide. Ali struggled to keep up in his new school though with so much homework it was hard for Ali since he did not know what was going on most of time. One Anna his friend from his old school said she was leaving back to the Phillipines. Ali wanted to see her one more time so he went to the airport to see her once more it took a long time and the then finally he got to see Anna but thhen he felt a had on his shoulder and it was the guard from Wommera he said that Ali was going back to Wommera where he came from. When he got back to Wommera he tried to call his mum and it worked he was so happy to hear her voice again. One day a load of protested came and tried to get the refugees out of Wommera when Ali escaped a person from Melbourne called Tom said come and hide in our tent so he did and then when he woke up after all of this he felt another tap on his shoulder but this time it was Safir so him and Ali went with the people from Melbourne and escaped in there van to Victoria.
Today we have had our first home learning days and one of the subjects we had to do today was angles.
We had to use Geo board to make our angles and use the pen to mark how big our angles where.
You will see some of the work i did on this page
Thanks for reading my blog post about angles.
Hi my name is Tom. I am ten years old and I live with my Mum, my Dad and my younger brother, Jamie. We both go to The Geelong College right now. I am in year 5 and Jamie is in year prep. I have been to two different schools so far. I used to live in Melbourne and I went to a school called Haileybury. I play cricket, footy and basketball and I love sports. Now my family have moved to Barwon Heads. I have no pets and my favourite colour is yellow. Thanks for reading my blog about me.
Today Mr Mckie said we had a new Scratch project.
It was my favourite Scratch project to date.
This is how it went.
I had lots of trial and error along the way but I got there in the end.
I made the beat a bit better because it wasn’t making sense.
I used the drum and the electrical guitar. The characters are called sprites and I used 3 of them in my band they where a dinosaur a chicken and a penguin.
I also added another backdrop and turned 180 degrees to add to the Scratch project. My backdrop was a basketball court and my other backdrop was a cool space backdrop.
At the end I really enjoyed this project and I will be updating to new blogs coming out soon.
