This is our coding for our Sphero to make a “square“:

The first block starts on 0 degrees. Every block after it adds 90 degrees.

  • 0 degrees
  • 90 degrees
  • 180 degrees
  • 270 degrees

This happens so the Sphero turns in the right direction so it can make a square

This is a video of the Sphero making a square:

This is a photo of my “loop square” coding:

It adds 90 degrees on each loop.

The difference between the normal square and the loop square is the loop square is more precise on the corners.

Here is a video of the Sphero making the loop square:

This is the coding for “Catch“.

Before you start playing you say to the Sphero “Play the toss game”

That makes the Sphero turn red. When you start throwing it goes green.

Here is a video of Eliza and I playing catch with the Sphero:

This is our “Spinning Top” coding:

Before you start spinning the Sphero you have to say “Spin Sphero like a top to change LED colours ”

Here is a video of the Spinning Top working:

The Spinning Top changes from red to green or green to red.

This the “Hot Potato” coding:

This is video of Eliza and I playing it:

Before you play “Hot Potato” you say to your Sphero “Play the hot potato game”. After you say that the Sphero turns red. If you hold it for too long the Sphero says “Your out!”.

This is the start of the coding for JavaScript:

This is the Sphero working:

This my JavaScript coding for “Hello Square”:

These are videos of Eliza and I trying to fix the mistakes:

It took us a while to get the code right.

We fixed it by going over the coding again and we found the 2 errors.

This is the “Toss Game” coding but it is in JavaScript:

This is a video of the “Toss Game” while you are using it:

We couldn’t figure out why our code wasn’t working so we checked over the video on our laptops. The problem was that we didn’t finish watching the coding tutorial.

This is the code for the “Spin Top”:

Code for “Hot Potato” :

These are some videos of Eliza, Tessa and I trying to fix problems with the coding:

The reason that our code wasn’t working is because we didn’t finish watching the coding video.

The words “accelTest” wasn’t blue so hats why it isn’t working:

Here is a video of the code working:

OUR PROJECT!

We want to make a maze out of tape and program our Sphero to roll through it.

This is our coding so far:
