Goblin On The Reef

In library we were challenged to read a book out of our genre.

The books i normally head to are the comedy ones, but this week i went out of my comfort zone and read a fantasy book called Goblin On The Reef by Victor Kelleher illustrated by Stephen Michael King.

Gibblewort the goblin is as nasty as ever, and his fed-up friends have shipped him off to a very damp place indeed: a coral reef! Gibblewort meets all kinds of fantastic creatures in the sea, but will he ever make it back home?- Victor Kelleher

I really enjoyed this book and i would give it a 4 1/2 out of ten stars…

because i like the humour and the story line of this book. I dislike that it is very easy and probably based for a lower age group and that the writing is very big on the very few pages. The last thing that i like about this story is that it doesn’t drag on.

I think the only reason it is in fantasy is because the main character is a goblin and that’s pretty far-fetched, to be honest I think this book belongs in the humour section.

Next time I would like to challenge myself a bit more. I will definitely be going back to read the rest of the series.

The Maddie Diaries

Teen dance prodigy, breakout Dance Moms star, and judge on So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation presents her uplifting coming-of-age memoir about following her dreams and working hard to achieve success in both the dance world and in life.

Maddie Ziegler had hoped to become a star—she just didn’t know how soon that day would come. At just eight years old, she was cast on Lifetime’s hit reality show Dance Moms and quickly won the hearts of fans everywhere with her natural talent and determination. Soon, she was catching eyes all over—including those of pop superstar Sia, who handpicked her to star in the incredibly popular music video “Chandelier.” The rest, as they say, was history.

In this inspirational memoir, Maddie explains the hard work she put into her rise to stardom and how she keeps her balance along the way—starring in music videos, going on tour, and becoming an actress in The Book of Henry with Naomi Watts and Jacob Tremblay. She also answers her fans’ burning questions with wise advice she’s learned on her journey. With honesty, charm, and humor, Maddie offers her unique perspective on making her way in the world as a young teenager, reflecting on the lessons she’s learned—and preparing for the exciting road ahead.

This book might not look it but it was definitely not in the genre I usually read. Maddie Ziegler wrote this amazing auto biography. In this book you get to know her, the struggles she went through and tips and tricks on every day life.

This book is my favourite  book I’ve ever read, I could not put it down. I bought this book when I away for about a week and I finished it the day I got back.

I would give it 5/5 star rating….

I think that because I had watched her show for so many years it was good to get to know Maddie more.
