Today we learnt about presenting.
We warmed up by stretching our mouths and saying tongue twisters (red leather – yellow leather/unique-New York/Peter Piper).
Then we looked at a video made last year and looked at the good points and bad points. We also looked at the eye line which is where your eyes are looking when the camera is pointing at you. We also learnt that you have to care about what you make.
We also learnt that you never should put notes on the camera because you are not looking straight at the camera. However, professional news readers have their script on the camera with the script scrolling down with the camera behind it.
Then we got into partners and someone held up their fist and the other person would pretend that the fist was the camera and we said the tongue twisters. Then some of us had a chance to say it into the real camera. I did it and I learnt that you can’t look around and you concentrate on looking at the camera.
What challenged was saying the tongue twisters.
I now have the skill to present into a camera.
